Have you ever dreamed of taking the stage? Of meeting other francophones? Of stepping outside your comfort zone, in good spirits and without judgment? This invitation is for you.

The Théâtre français de Toronto (TfT), the Centre francophone du Grand Toronto (CFGT), and FrancoQueer are joining forces to launch its emergent theatre troupe, open to all francophone adults across the Greater Toronto Area — newcomers and long-time residents alike — as well as members of the 2SLGBTQIA+ communities.

NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Just bring your desire to perform, meet new people, and share something powerful, together. From September 2026 to March 2027, we'll meet every week, in a supportive, judgment-free space, guided by a professional director — building toward a public performance in March 2027.

How to get involved?

The first step is the simplest: fill out the form to express your interest and reserve your spot at one of our free online information sessions. The perfect opportunity to meet the team, ask your questions, and see if this adventure is right for you.

This will be followed in September by a movement-based gathering — the famous “auditions,” but in a playful, pressure-free atmosphere where mistakes and risk-taking are celebrated. A chance for the artistic team to get to know you better and put together a well-balanced troupe.

• You're an adult living in the Greater Toronto Area.
• You're a newcomer or a long-time resident, and/or a member of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community.
• You're curious about theatre — no experience required, just the desire to have fun.
• You're ready to commit for the duration of the project, in a spirit of kindness and respect.
