Playing Soon: Joséphine, et les grandes personnes
Fed up with baffling rules? Adults who say one thing and do another? Joséphine has the answer.
In this show as funny as it is heartwarming, an extraordinary little girl takes the stage to share the ten lessons no one ever taught you: how to decode grown-ups, survive their quirks, and get absolutely everything you want from them — doughnut included.
But behind the budding keynote speaker hides a real little girl, with a family life that isn't always easy, full of small joys and big sorrows. And then there's the mysterious old lady in the audience, who keeps coming back to every lesson… and who, perhaps, also has something to teach us.
A mirror show: children will recognize their parents. Parents will recognize themselves.
Brought to life by two charismatic actresses in a luminous, stripped-back production, the play by Marie-Hélène Larose-Truchon is an ode to childhood, imagination, and the invisible bonds that unite the big and the small — even when they don't quite understand each other.
Joséphine and the Grown-Ups is a creation by Carrousel, théâtre company, co-produced with le Théâtre du Bic (Québec) and les Tréteaux de France, Centre dramatique national (France).
