SYNOPSIS
SHE VISITS THE HOSPITAL EVERY DAY TO SHARE TENDER MOMENTS WITH HIM, THIS MAN WHO REMEMBERS NOTHING. Their often comical, conversations progressively reveal past troubles and the intensity of their love, the only residue of a memory ravaged by the aftermath of a serious accident.
But in this room where time seems suspended forever, she begins to doubt her ability to accompany her beloved husband on this long journey back to health.
In spite of feelings, when a shared life disappears, what remains of love? Théâtre français de Toronto and Théâtre Populaire d’Acadie join forces to shed light on this question with the premiere of this play shortlisted for the 2017 Governor General’s Award in Drama. Emma Haché sensitively addresses our reflections on death, not as the end of being, but of the past.
