VOIES/X OUVERTES : CREATING ON LIVE RADIO
In partnership with Radio-Canada and Théâtre du Nouvel Ontario, TfT invites listeners of the radio program À l’échelle humaine hosted by Isabelle Ménard to participate in the development of two plays: Sombre divan by Michel Ouellette, this fall, and, Convictions by Lara Arabian, this winter. Each week, listeners will be able to follow the evolving stories fueled in part by their ideas and comments. The first episode of Michel Ouellette’s text will be broadcast on Saturday October 3 on Radio-Canada Première – Ontario.
DRAMATURGIE EN CHANTIER: Follow the creative process of three authors
This winter and spring, three playwrights from the 2SLGBTQ+ communities, Charlotte L’Orage (Ottawa), Alex Tétreault (Sudbury) and Merlin Simard (Toronto), will each be developing a writing project as part of the Dramaturgie en chantier initiative. On three occasions, they will meet to discuss their practice and share the progress they’re making. Hosted by Rozenn Nicolle of Radio-Canada Toronto, these virtual meetings are open to the public!
- January 19, 7 pm – What are the conditions necessary to create freely?
- March 30, 7 p.m. – Does the status of Artist implies a civic responsibility?
- May 18, 7 pm – Presenting the writing projects and reading excerpts.
Dramaturgie en Chantier, now in its third edition, is organised annually by Théâtre français de Toronto, Théâtre Catapulte, and Théâtre du Nouvel Ontario.
