About us

Our Mandate

Develop and create high quality theatrical productions

A season at TfT includes 8 shows performed at the Berkeley Street Theatre and Studio 21.

This program includes new creations, co-productions as well as repertoire.

Presenting contemporary works from Canada and elsewhere

Over the course of a season, the TfT produces and hosts works from the Canadian repertoire as well as pieces from foreign countries.

In doing so, it facilitates artistic exchanges and allows the Francophonie to shine in all its plurality.

Enabling the development of artists in the metropolis

The company is supporting an author-in-residence project to encourage the creation of new texts.

The company offers employment opportunities to artists in the metropolis.

Offer training and cultural mediation programs

The TfT schedules school matinees for the majority of its shows and invites all Toronto students to join.

Taught by professional educators, the company offers theatre lessons for children (ages 5 to 13).

The TfT runs the writing competition for teenagers: Les Zinspirés.
