Will you let them have a child?

Théâtre français de Toronto presents
F**king Carl,
the powerful, prejudice-shattering comedy

Théâtre français de Toronto is pleased to present the sly, trashy, and charming comedy F**king Carl produced by Ottawa’s Théâtre du Trillium. Winner of Outstanding Production at the Ottawa Fringe Festival and Outstanding Creation of the Year at the 8th Prix Rideau Awards, the show continues to win over audiences wherever it plays.

F**king Carl addresses an ever-present, albeit rarely mentioned, societal topic, and raises the provocative question of what separates good parents from bad. The play asks its audience to look beyond first impressions, beyond any bias they might hold against certain social classes, and to question their own values and morals.

With their rough and rude exterior, Jessika and Jayson have to convince their public of their right to adopt a kid and provide for his needs. Will you let them have a child?

Breaking down prejudice and infectiously funny, the play F**king Carl, written and performed by Louis-Philippe Roy and Caroline Yergeau under the direction of Kevin Orr, is as captivating as it is thought-provoking.

Remaining true to the play’s intimate spirit, it will run from March 22 to 24, 2018, (with English surtitles) in the TfT Studio (21 College Street, 6th floor). Some performances are already sold out.

TfT wishes to thank its partners: Scotiabank (show sponsor), VIA Rail Canada (season sponsor), TD Bank (surtitles sponsor), and Pierre and Mariel O’Neill-Karch (show patrons).
