2019 FUNDRAISING

Wednesday, May 15

Arrow Circle Down 2

We’re thrilled to set a new atmosphere for the 2019 edition of our now-famous fundraising event!

We’re thrilled to set a new atmosphere for the 2019 edition of our now-famous fundraising event!

Celebrate the conclusion of our 51st artistic season and join us for an unforgettable evening on Wednesday, May 15 from 6 pm, at The Enoch Turner Schoolhouse.  The event will also be an opportunity to thank our partners and raise funds to support our youth projects and upcoming productions.

Reimagined as a cabaret, this event will highlight the talent of French-speaking artists. After a cocktail party and a buffet, you’ll get a chance to participate in auctions and run the chance of walking away with one of our many prestigious prizes.

This event will be hosted by Radio-Canada’s Isabelle Fleury. It will be presided by Amanda Simard. The well-respected Member of Parliament for Glengarry-Prescott-Russell stated, ”For more than 50 years, TfT has promoted our culture, our language, and offered Francophones and Francophiles a place of discovery. It continues to give voice on stage to what we know in our hearts about our place in this province”. Musical stylings will be provided by singer Patricia Cano and her band. The Franco-jazz range of this Sudbury-born singer will bring a warm cabaret atmosphere to the event.

Amanda Simard, MPP and Honoured Guest

If there ever was a time, a privileged place where art really manages to deeply communicate and exchange with the viewer, is at the theatre. The theatre is a physical and temporal space singing the life of the people. The theatre is and will always be essential to maintaining our cultural identity and to a flourishing French language.

I therefore consider it a privilege to be your first honorary president of this Cabaret evening to raise funds for Théâtre français de Toronto. For more than 50 years, TfT has accomplished on its stages and in our hearts its mission to promote our culture, our language, and to offer Francophones and Francophiles a place of meeting and discovery.

Thank you for your generosity in contributing to the growth and continuity of Théâtre français’ programming, here, in Toronto, so that we can keep on bringing the house down!

See you at the Cabaret!
