A PRODUCTION OF THÉÂTRE FRANÇAIS DE TORONTO

WITH OUR 40TH ANNIVERSARY IN MIND, we present a new musical: Et si on chantait…

Inspired by the success of La, la la, mine de rien, this production is composed of songs and stories celebrating happiness. We will revisit the 60s, travel through the 80s, and dance all the way to now, so we can raise the curtain on what the future could be. Shall we strive for happiness?

Sometimes, when we start singing we cannot stop,
Like children why not?
Let’s do it: for a moment let’s be Pavarotti or Céline!
All we need is a bit of imagination!

A BIRTHDAY PRESENT

We regularly schedule musical theatre because we love to sing. When we are happy, when we are sad, in fair and bad weather, we set our feelings to music and we sing. We could not celebrate our 40th anniversary without creating a new piece. All of our musicals tend to be accessible to a general audience. Our city is alive and full of stories to be told and sung. And, with the help of surtitles, non francophone audiences will understand the French je ne sais quoi in the songs.
